About Casa Akama
9 bedrooms · 10 bathrooms · sleeps 20 guests · 45 min from Puerto Vallarta (PVR)
Casa Akama is a nine-bedroom beachfront estate at Ranchos Estates, the gated enclave on the eastern shore of Punta Mita. It occupies roughly 25,000 square feet across a two-acre lot that runs straight to the sand, with the Bay of Banderas and the Marietas Islands filling the horizon.
The architecture is by Manolo Mestre, with interiors by Joaquin Homs. Thatched palapa (a traditional open-sided, thatched-roof pavilion) roofs, board-formed stone, teak walkways, and full-height openings keep the line between inside and outside deliberately soft, so the living pavilion, the suites, and the terraces all read as one continuous space facing the Pacific.
A heated infinity pool runs to a vanishing edge above the beach, with an oversized hot tub alongside and stepping discs set across the water. A few steps down, the estate opens onto one of Punta Mita's swimmable white-sand beaches. Beyond the pool deck are a private spa with twin treatment tables, a fitness room, a Dolby Atmos cinema, a chef's kitchen, and a dining room that seats twenty.
The nine bedrooms divide between togetherness and quiet. Four oceanfront primary suites take the sea view directly; five further ensuite (private bath) bedrooms open to gardens and courtyards, several with their own plunge pools. Ten bathrooms serve the house, and every room is wired for climate, sound, and lighting. Casa Akama sleeps twenty and comes fully staffed with a private chef, butler, daily housekeeping, and concierge.
