About Villa Luna Mar

6 bedrooms · 6 bathrooms · sleeps 12 guests · 45 min from Puerto Vallarta (PVR)

Villa Luna Mar sits on the east side of Punta Mita, inside the gated Ranchos Estates enclave, with its own concrete stairs dropping through shoreline hedges to a quiet white-sand cove. The estate runs to roughly 10,000 square feet, almost all of it on one level, and the architecture treats walls as optional: in most rooms, an entire side slides away to a courtyard, a lily pond, or the open Pacific.

The center of the plan is a long pool under a slatted timber pergola, lined with white loungers and cantilever umbrellas, with the horizon at its far end. A bamboo-ribbed arrival passage runs alongside a lily-planted water channel, and a stone courtyard with a single sculptural tree anchors the interior. The living pavilion — a low sofa, teak rope chairs, a kilim rug under dark ceiling beams — frames the pool and sea in one look.

Six bedrooms sleep up to twelve, served by six bathrooms. The suites read as variations on a theme rather than repeats: walnut headboards, aqua and white linens, garden showers with one wall removed and fan palms growing beside the rain head, and beds that open directly to a hammock, a pergola terrace, or a still pond. A separate media room, an air-conditioned fitness room, and a spa and massage room round out the indoor space.

The villa comes fully staffed. A private chef plans menus around each group and serves them by the pool or on the rooftop terrace; a butler and daily housekeeping handle the rest. The pool is heated and cooled, with a shallow area for children, and golf access at the Punta Mita courses is arranged on request. Booking and live availability are handled by Villa Experience.
