About Casa Manzanillas

6 bedrooms · 8 bathrooms · sleeps 14 guests · 45 min from Puerto Vallarta (PVR)

Casa Manzanillas sits directly on the sand inside Ranchos Estates, the gated enclave on the eastern shore of Punta Mita, on the Nayarit coast. The single-storey house covers roughly 6,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space and looks straight out at the Pacific, with the Marietas Islands on the skyline and steps down to a private stretch of Rancho beach.

There are six bedrooms, each with its own bath and its own terrace. Four are king suites that face the water; the other two look back into the jungle. Every room has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, satellite TV, Apple TV, Wi-Fi, a walk-in closet and a double vanity, so a group of fourteen spreads out without anyone drawing the short straw.

The plan is built around indoor-outdoor living. A barrel-vaulted living room with a stone-relief gallery wall opens through louvred doors to a covered pavilion of wicker sofas; a round walnut table seats the group indoors, and a second table sits poolside under the pergola. Sliding doors close the kitchen off from the terrace, so the chef works through service while the group stays out by the water with drinks.

Outside, an infinity pool runs toward the horizon above a Jacuzzi and a shaded lounge, and a linear fire trough cuts across the arrival courtyard between rough-cut stone walls. There is an open-air gym facing the garden and an outdoor shower among the palms. The beach is a few steps down for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking, and most evenings end with a table set on the sand as the sun drops behind the islands.
